Nature Education Camp
A one-day
educational tour was organized by Shri A.V.D. Savjani Arts and Commerce
College, Jamjodhpur, managed by Shri Sarvodaya Kelavani Mandal, with the aim of
creating awareness among the students about the environment and understanding
the importance of wildlife conservation. Under this camp, a total of 40
students of the college visited Sasan Gir, the natural habitat of Asiatic
lions.
The main
objective of this nature education camp was to provide students with first-hand
information about flora and fauna and to create awareness among students about
the conservation of natural resources and forests and to understand the
workings of the Wildlife Department and the wildlife chain through the camp.
During the camp, the students attended a nature education session organized by
the Wildlife Department of Sasan Gir. They got information from experts about
the forest habitat and behavior of wildlife and created awareness about the
steps to be taken for environmental protection. This one-day nature education
camp was very informative and inspiring for the students. Along with book
knowledge, this education in the presence of nature has further strengthened
the sense of responsibility towards the environment among the students.
