Cleanliness Drive @ Campus

grand `Cleanliness Drive at Campus` program was organized at Smt. Amritben
Valjibhai Damjibhai Savjani Arts and Commerce College, Jamjodhpur to make the
message of `Swachh Bharat Abhiyan` meaningful. The main objective of this
program was to make the college campus clean and create awareness among the
students about the environment. Under this campaign, all the NSS volunteers of
the Arts and Commerce Department of the college participated with great enthusiasm.
At the beginning of the program, the importance of cleanliness was explained to
the students by the Principal of the college and a pledge of `Plastic Free
Campus` was taken. NSS Program Officer Dr. Anil H. Hothi formed different teams
of students and collected useless plastic, water bottles and garbage from the
college grounds, seminar hall, classrooms and gardens. Special emphasis was
laid on making the campus completely `plastic free`. Intensive cleaning was
also done in the areas around the college sports ground and library. During the
cleaning, the students were motivated to always throw the garbage in the
dustbin.
